Police said they were searching for a gunman who ran up to a woman while she was walking her dog Monday night and grabbed the bag she was holding.

It contained poop.

When the gunman discovered what was in it, he threw it down in disgust, pointed his gun at the dog and demanded money. He pulled the trigger twice, but fortunately, it didn't fire...

Back in 1999, during the heat of the Microsoft trials, Jim Allchin, Senior VP at Microsoft in charge of the Windows group, lied during testimony regarding the difficulty of removing Internet Explorer from Windows.

Allchin played a video showing how Windows slowed down a lot after running an Internet Explorer removal tool. Turns out that the video was false -- "It's not slow due to the Felten program," David Boies (lead attorney Department of Justice) continued. "It's slow because of Windows 98, isn't it?"

April 1 was originally New Year's Day because it so closely followed the vernal equinox on March 21st -- the first day of spring.

In 1582, the Church changed the calendar and those who continued using April 1 as the date of the new year were referred to as "April Fools."

The starfish is the only animal that can turn its stomach inside out.

The cardiac stomach, which is a sacklike stomach located at the center of the body, may be everted - pushed out of the organism's body and used to engulf and digest food. Some species take advantage of the great endurance of their water vascular systems to open the shells of mollusks (clams, mussels, etc.), and inject their stomachs into the shells. Once the stomach is inserted inside the shell it digests the mollusk in place!
